Important:
Codobe processes sensitive trade documents (invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, etc.) on your behalf. We use advanced encryption and never sell your data. All processing is done to provide verification, compliance checks, and reconciliation services.
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information (email, name, role: importer/exporter/CHA)
- Uploaded trade documents (invoices, B/L, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.)
- Payment-related data (only processed via secure third-party gateways — we do not store full card details)
- Usage data, IP address, browser type (for security & improvement)
We use your information solely to:
- Provide AI-powered document verification, extraction, and compliance checks
- Detect discrepancies and generate reconciliation reports
- Improve our models (anonymized & aggregated data only)
- Comply with legal obligations (KYC, AML, RBI/FEMA reporting)
- Communicate service updates or support responses
We do not sell your data. We may share it only:
- With service providers (cloud storage, OCR APIs, payment processors) under strict contracts
- For legal compliance, fraud prevention, or court orders
- In anonymized form for analytics & model training
We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit), regular audits, and access controls. Uploaded documents are retained only as long as necessary for your active use or legal requirements (typically 7 years for trade compliance).
